WARKWORTH GARDEN CLUB
AIM: To provide members with opportunities to share gardening knowledge and
enjoyment through a varied programme of monthly activities.
MEMBERSHIP: Any person may become a member on payment of the annual
Subscription of $15.00 or $25 couple for the year ending 30 June 2022
MEETINGS: Third Tuesday of each month – unless otherwise stated
VENUE: As indicated in the Programme

Car pooling: Cost per person for drivers is as stated in the Programme.
Bus Trips: Please book through Cheryl before paying Gloria Wilmot (either online or at her letterbox) and they will liaise to ensure everyone has a seat. The Club policy is not to give refunds unless there is a good reason for non attendance.

July 27th - MOVIE at MATAKANA
Meet at Matakana Cinema for a 10am screening. Cost $11.50. 'THE WATERLILIES OF MONET' This will be followed if you wish by lunch at Matakana Kitchen at your own cost. Note: This is a week later due to school holidays.
August 17th - AGM and “SOUP and SAVOURIES”.
Meet at Point Wells Hall at 10am for a welcome drink and time to renew membership. At 10.30am the AGM meeting will commence followed by a "Soup and Savouries" lunch. Cost: $25.00. Please make payment to Club bank a/c, or to Gloria by August 10th.
Bring along something unusual from your garden for "Confuse the Rest Quiz," e.g. plant part or seed etc.
September 21th MINCHER GARDEN- Coatesville $40
POSTPONED. New date to be advised when we know the end of lockdown
A large 5 star rural "Garden of International Significance" with formal and informal planting, native walkways and waterways with large Georgian house as the centrepiece.
Meet at Showgrounds at 8.45am – bus leaving at 9am.
Then calling into Black Cottage Café for Morning Tea (cost included) at 10.15 before moving on to the gardens at 11am.
BYO Lunch and refreshments as there are lots of lovely places to sit in the garden.
The bus leaves at 1pm to take us back to the Showgrounds.
October 19th KAIPARA FLAT COUNTRY GARDENS.
Today we will visit 3 Gardens in the Kaipara Flats – Streamlands area. Enjoy the beauty of spring blossoms, new growth on trees and open places.
Bring hats & walking Shoes. BYO morning tea. Raffle.
Please meet at Showgrounds Carpark at 9.00am for 9.15am Start.
November 16th GARDENS & SCULPTURES -$30 - Kaukapakapa /Helensville
Meet at Showgrounds at 8.45 am - bus leaving at 9 am.
Today we will be travelling by bus to visit the Kaipara Coast Sculpture & Gardens.
Sculpture Trail (optional cost of $10 for 10+ people approx one hour), cafe and nursery. Morning tea own cost.
We visit a small private garden in Kaukapakapa (entry cost included) and on to Greenlaw Garden in Helensville. Spring in this 0.4 hectare garden is a time of cherry blossom, bulbs, magnolias and forget-me-nots, perennials and 150 roses.
Entry and Lunch at the Garden are included in the cost. Plants will be available for purchase.
* Need to advise a week prior if you require GF or DF lunch.
Bus departs Helensville at 2.15 pm to take us back to the Showgrounds
